Thank you Village Tronic (Jeremy Sutton).” This is also free and open to the public.
Starting August 1st thru the 4th, Jeremy will be holding a workshop for all levels at Pembroke College in Oxford. ViDock Gfx will be one of the digital media headliners and will assist with creating a dynamic presentation and easy of using other tools and supporting graphics.
Jeremy is a great example to show who the ViDock family of graphics docking solutions was created for and its versatility across the business spectrum: the professional user that wants to use a single portable computer both on the road and the option to utilize multiple screens when needed whether that be in the office, studio, classroom or at home.

Jeremy Sutton adds Village Tronic’s ViDock Gfx to his “tool bar” for more dramatic and effective presentations.

Palo Alto, CA, June 18th, 2008 – Village Tronic is pleased to announce that Jeremy Sutton will now be utilizing ViDock Gfx in his presentations and seminars as well as his artwork. Jeremy Sutton is an expert Portrait Artist and Corel Painter Master as well as an author and educator on the topics of creativity and digital fine art. When asked about the ViDock he said:

°The ViDock enabled me to give a live painting demonstration from my MacBook Pro last week in a dramatic and effective way that would not have been possible without the ViDock. I had my 30-inch Apple Cinema Display connected to the DVI video port on the laptop and my Cintiq 12WX linked to one of the extra DVI ports provided by the ViDock. I still had one DVI port unused, which could, for instance, have been connected to a digital projector or third monitor. This tool is indispensable to anyone who travels with their laptop and gives lectures, presentations or demonstrations. This is exactly what I had been looking for when I had a booth at WPPI this year and, since it didn’t exist then, I ended up shipping a Mac Pro tower computer since it had two DVI ports built in. I’ll also be taking this with me whenever I teach a class or give a lecture, such as this summer in the UK. Thank you Village Tronic (Jeremy Sutton)."

Jeremy is a great example to show who the ViDock family of graphics docking solutions was created for and its versatility across the business spectrum: the professional user that wants to use a single portable computer both on the road and the option to utilize multiple screens when needed whether that be in the office, studio, classroom or at home.

OSX install

All current Village Tronic products are "Ready for Panther"

A few hours prior to the official release of Panther, Pacific Standard Time, Village Tronic is releasing information and updates to assist its user base in the migration to the new Apple operating system.

All current Village Tronic hardware is compatible with Mac OS X 10.3. Nevertheless, Mac OS X 10.3 introduces quite a few changes that should be taken into account.

VTBook

Mac OS X 10.3 introduces many improvements over version 10.2. The VTBook driver 1.1 is supporting Panther as well as Jaguar.

We are actively working in collaboration with Apple to be able to offer a long awaited new feature to VTBook users using Panther: Hot Plug.

We recommend our users to not experiment hot plug yet. More information will be released soon.

Please keep monitored our VTBook FAQ pages for news on this subject, or use our tech support form and ask to be informed as soon as a solution becomes available.

New VTBook installer, compatible with Panther (10.3.0) and Jaguar (10.2.8), with 2D and 3D drivers, is available for download in the download area.

MPDD Pro

MPDD Pro standard drivers 1.1 and BIOS 1.3 work correctly under Panther. An installation problem can occur using the driver installer, involving the privileges for some MPDD Pro kernel extensions not being set correctly. A solution is to run the script available here after the driver installation and then restarting the system. An updated installer will be released soon.

The script is available in the download area.

MPDD+

MPDD+ is a discontinued product, but still it is fully Panther compatible without any special remark as long as the card has been upgraded to NDRV 1.6. The upgrade tool is available in the download area.

Introducing VTBook:
The first 32MB DVI graphics card for notebook computers

Abstract

Hannover - CeBIT - March 13th, 2002:Village Tronic is announcing at CeBIT 2002 its brand new CardBus graphics card. Targeted for notebook users, VTBookDD makes it possible to connect a digital or analog high-end second display, converting a Notebook into a full Desktop Workstation, driving two displays simultaneously

Press release

Hannover - CeBIT - March 13th, 2002: Village Tronic is announcing at CeBIT 2002 its brand new CardBus graphics card. Targeted for notebook users, VTBookDD makes it possible to connect a digital or analog high-end second display, converting a Notebook into a full Desktop Workstation, driving two displays simultaneously.

People have recently been discovering the joy of ever smaller notebook computers. The more compact they are the more comfortable it is to carry them everywhere we go. However, the majority of the time the Notebook is used on our workdesk at the office. In this situation, after hours of working, many users prefer a larger display.

VTBookDD (short for Village Tronic Book Desktop Doubler) is the ultimate solution: It plugs into your CardBus PC Card slot and allows the connection of high resolution displays, both digital (DVI) or analog (VGA). Thanks to 32MB of memory it supports even the highest resolutions in maximum color depth (16 millions of colors) with very fast refresh rates to ensure maximum comfort. The display controlled by the VTBookDD is a true second display. This means that it offers additional display space for your use. You can move and arrange windows from the Notebook's display to be shown on the display being driven by the VTBookDD. Display-Mirroring, primarily for use in presentations, is also supported.

No other device will impact the way you work like a second display. Use more display space. Forget about workarounds such as closing and reopening multiple windows or zooming and scrolling simply because your Notebook display is too small. Keep palettes, your email-client and other applications continuously open to stay focused on your main project window. This enables you to concentrate on the project and not on navigating to squeeze out display space.

Features

Compact one piece CardBus (without cable dongle) allows both installation and removal in seconds
32 MB DDR high speed memory improves the performance of your notebook
Trident XP2 graphics chip ensures performance and low power consumption (3W)
Support of any VGA or TFT Display (analog or digital: DVI-I, DVI-A, DVI-D)
Support of very high resolutions in high refresh rates with maximum colors
Village Tronic's unique display sense automatically configures VTBookDD resolution to properly support your display
Software compatibility: MS-Windows 98/2000/Me/XP, Apple Macintosh OS 9 and X
Card type: CardBus PC Card Type II
Market introduction is expected for June 2002.
