VTBook is a perfect match for
Hewlett Packard's long history of innovation. HP
notebooks already offer a great platform for trading
and financial applications, VTBook gives to
those already powerful mobile trading stations
even more power and flexibility.
This is why HP is now offering complete mobile
trading solutions featuring VTBook (download
PDF brochure).

The IBM Financial Services Sector,
in alignment with the Personal Computing Division
(PCD) presented the Trader-Laptop based on VTBook
at CeBIT 2005. It provides at the same time up
to a total of six screens with different contents.
IBM was showing on the Trader-Laptop,
in cooperation with TeleTrader partner, an application
for real time market data: TeleTrader Professional.
VTBook reference customers, in Finance and Trading
markets, include:
- Shell Trading
- Franklin Templeton
- Cinergy |

mobile trading station installed in FrankFurt by

features both VTBook DualDisplay and
VTBook Overdrive
They need to use custom applications
with custom hardware setups, that have been usually been
relegated in trading rooms.
What about running those custom applications
from a notebook and, at the end of the day, bring that
notebook with you (and maybe to another trading station)?
But a notebook can have just one external
display and professional tools need three or better four
displays: it seems like a trading station on the move
is impossible.
Not quite true: thanks to VTBook you
can connect up to 5 (five!) external displays to your
notebook and have as much space as you need for your
particular application.
You can connect up to two VTBooks on
supported notebooks thanks to VTBook Overdrive and up
to two displays to each VTBook thanks to VTBook DualDisplay.
Thanks to our customized drivers all
the displays work seaminglessly together with the operating
system: you'll get a huge extended desktop, as you would
with a multidisplay fixed workstation.

Harry
Newton is an authoritative voice in the trading world.
And he is an extraordinary story teller: this is how
he describes VTBook on his online column, In
Search of the Perfect Investment.
My laptop drives its internal
screen and one external screen. My Village Tronic
VTBook PC card and its dualdisplay cable powers
the other two screens. I drag windows from one
screen to the other. I have Outlook email on
one screen, a browser on another, streaming quotes
on another, Macromedia on a fourth. I can also
have an gigantic Excel spreadsheet spread across
three monitors. The VTBook PC Card and cable
cost under $300. If you use a laptop as your
primary PC, it's the best computer investment
you can ever make. Honestly. |
Mr. Newton is using two VTBook+VTBook
DualDisplay setups in two different locations, with three
external displays in each location. He can carry his
notebook between the two locations, keeping his data
and the ability to use a powerful multi display workstation.
We could say that the
Perfect Trader is our Perfect Customer!
Professional traders need professional
tools to perform at best.
This is why, in all the world, trading
stations are routinely updated with more recent technologies
and solutions.

Trading rooms like the one above can
accommodate hundreds of trading stations, with each station
being a multi display high end workstation.
VTBook makes possible to finally make
those trading station mobile. Every workstation can be
built around a notebook computer without losing its multi
display capabilities.
Village Tronic, with its partners, supplies
complete mobile trading solutions for every possible
kind of financial or trading application.
