from black to red. Express yourself.
Or just change the color and let your friends
guess how you did it. Oh, you want to know how? Try to
find out or just click here. |

At the same time you change the logo color
you also swap the placement of VTBook and the DVI to VGA
adapter inside.

Smart packaging
Oh, and if you wonder about the strange shape of the gift box.
We wanted to make the product box as small as possible for two
reasons: We can ship smaller products cheaper allowing you to buy
VTBook at lower price. Plus, we wanted you to have a durable small
package for transport. We made VTBook and its magic case very small.
But we could not shrink the CD. This is why you can detach the
CD pocket once you have installed the driver.
We give you a quick start!
Detach the CD pocket and open it:

Inside you'll find a quick start guide which gets
you installed your VTBook in 5 minutes. No need to read any manual
or online helps to get operating. For Power Users though, we put
lots of information into the online help so you can learn how to
be even more productive.
Here is in detail what you'll find on the CD sleeve
interior. It is easy, isn't it?

Before using the card is highly recommended a quick
tour in the VTBook help to familiarize with all the possibilities
VTBook gives you. The online help is easily browsable
and provides concise and useful information on every
aspect of your VTBook. And you can always find more information
on VillageTronic's website.

As you can see there's nothing difficult, you just have
to pay attention to hot plug and hot unplug compatibility
on your operating system:

Making shopping more convenient
An Info Display comes with every VTBook: it is the unfolded
CD pocket.

Separating the Info Display and the VTBook
allows the shop to store the small and valuable VTBook
in a safe place but at the some time having lots of information
through the Info Display conveniently available for the
interested.

Designed to stand time
Not etched in stone … but in stainless steel.
We could not find a label that does not come off over the years and which did
not tear off its marking after 5000 insertions. Now we can guarantee your
VTBook will continue to look elegant after many years of heavy duty use.
A loyal companion
Our DVI to VGA Adapter is not only beautiful:

We designed VTBook so you can plug it in and out twice daily for
more than 5 years. The connectors for our DVI to VGA Adapter are
custom made for us with extra strong Nickel and extra thick Gold
plating, so we can guarantee 5000 insertion cycles and the image
quality remains perfect. The Adapter comes with every VTBook. It
is available also as an accessory: if you have a VGA Display at
work and a VGA Display at home you can keep the Adapter screwed
to the VGA cable and just plug / unplug the Adapter to VTBook.
Hence the DVI port holds itself as it is more convenient just to
plug in the Adapter than if you need to tighten or loosen the mounting
screws of the VGA cable.
Some Notebooks are hot stuff
We have measured up to 65 degrees Celsius inside a Notebook. No
glue will survive this over the years. However, every CardBus housing
we found in the market uses glue to hold the parts together. This
is why we engineered our own housing so we can guarantee to withstand
80 degrees Celsius for the lifetime of VTBook. And if you choose
to operate VTBook in the hotest Notebook in a tropic environment,
we built in a temperature sensor that over 80 degrees we change
power management to ensure you never “overcook” your
VTBook.

With VTBook you are not screwed!
When we built our first VTBook samples we started using them intensively.
We realized that over time the screws holding the housing together
got loose through vibration in planes and cars. The standard method
to lock the screws is glue and could not be used. We could not
solve the problem until our Italian Chief Technology Officer, who
is a proud Ferrari fan, quoted Enzo Ferrari: “ Every piece
which is not there can not break!” We threw our design away
and made a new one. Now VTBook has no screws. And also no glue.
Mmmh.. so how we hold the VTBook parts together? Almost with magic…
